1. Introduction
We are pleased that you are using our app. Protecting your personal data is very important to us. Below, we inform you about the processing of your personal data—particularly health-related data—in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Purposes of Processing and Legal Basis
We process your data for the following purposes:
- To provide app functionalities (e.g., child’s name, birthdate, developmental milestones), based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and for health data, pursuant to Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR.
- To provide our chatbot, by processing your input, if you have given consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR).
- For anonymous usage analysis (e.g., click behavior), if you have voluntarily consented (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- For error analysis and app stability improvements via Firebase Crashlytics, if you have consented (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
3. Categories of Data Subjects
- Parents or legal guardians as direct users
- Children whose developmental data is recorded in pseudonymized form (indirectly affected)
4. Data Processing on the Device
All user data is stored locally on the device. There is no central data storage on tio health servers. Cloud backups or data restoration after device change are not provided.
5. Data Sharing with Third Parties
OpenAI (OpenAI Ireland Ltd.)
If you use the chatbot, your input is processed by OpenAI’s European subsidiary. OpenAI acts as a data processor under the GDPR. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) are in place. More info: OpenAi Data Processing
Firebase (Google Ireland Ltd.)
We use Firebase for analytics and crash reporting. Processing is done by Google’s Irish subsidiary. A DPA and SCCs are in place. Use only occurs after explicit consent via the app’s consent screen. More info: Firebase Data Processing
6. Storage Duration
- Data remains on your device as long as the app is installed.
- Chat entries are stored by OpenAI for up to 30 days (per DPA), then automatically deleted.

7. Your Rights (Art. 15–21 GDPR)
You have the right to:
Access information about your data
- Rectification of incorrect data
- Deletion (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restriction of processing
